About Mariam

I like tutoring because I know kids learn better with patience and one on one time. I am the oldest of 4 and have spent a lot of time leading others. It gives me compassion and hope for our next generation to know that I am helping them reach their goals. I'm looking for a job that allows me to exercise my teaching muscle and my love for guiding others around me. I started tutoring when I was 19 years old in college. I would commute to the neighborhood I grew up in, and tutor kids that looked like me. I never had anyone to sit down and guide me through my studies, let alone someone that looked like me and I naturally began to enjoy it. In my spare time, I like to cook, spend time with my family and travel. One thing you should know about me is I come from a large family and I am the first person in my family to live my whole life in the US. My skills include patience, analogies and creativity!
