ONLINE TUTORING AVAILABLE DURING STAY-AT-HOME ORDERS. I offer a unique set of skills that combine my two life-long paths -- writing and movement. As a professional writer and academic teacher of record, I love helping kids discover the joy of expressing themselves through writing and storytelling. I am also a certified yoga instructor -- many benefits rolled into one caring, compassionate tutor! While I can obviously teach conventional writing, research and related academic skills, I can also help students feel confident about their own voice and cultivate joy around intellectual curiosity -- a way of approaching work that's valuable for life! My private yoga, breathwork and movement instruction also includes journaling and vocalization exercises that help kids work through issues. And as a complement to academics, I also teach children relaxation skills to ease test anxiety. Working with parents, I encourage co-creation of the best possible learning experience for their children.
