About Mariah

I am passionate about caring for older adults in the community. I started out as an activities aide at a nursing home and I worked there for 2 years and fell in love with working with the elderly. This gave me the motivation to go to nursing school. I have done clinical rotations in nursing homes, adult day centers, and in the hospital. In addition, I care for my mother-in-law who has diabetes. I have also been a caregiver to an elderly couple over the summer. I have experience in personal hygiene, light housekeeping, wound care, medication administration and management, and therapeutic communication. I maintain the highest level of safest when carrying out these activities. I enjoy helping the older adult clients maintain as much independence and dignity as possible and will do my best to treat them as my own family.
