About Maria

Maria has been our full time nanny for two years, caring for my two kids who are now 3 and almost 5. She was wonderful - loving, kind, patient, fun, creative, and totally reliable. She always found fun places to go and activities to do with the kids and also set up playdates with other families. She was an endless font of creative ideas for art projects and games. My kids have learned so much - counting, writing their letters, reading, even some Spanish - thanks to Maria. She also helped us with potty training and with teaching the kids basic skills like putting on their shoes independently. More importantly, I knew they were well loved and well cared for. Maria always dealt with the inevitable toddler tantrums calmly, with empathy and patience, while maintaining age-appropriate boundaries. And on top of playing with and teaching the kids, Maria made meals for them and somehow always left our house looking spotless and more organized than it had been in the morning. Maria was always on time and smiling each morning and we could not have asked for someone more dependable. My kids are both headed to full time preschool this fall, so we are sadly parting ways with Maria. My kids love Maria and are super sad about the change and we will all miss her warm and loving daily presence.
