Hello! My name is Maria Camila and I am a Psychology and child education Student at FGCU! I always loved children and have worked in a school setting for over 2 years. I love working with children because I believe proper care and nurture of children helps create wonderful adults. I recently worked at a daycare for over a year, but my first experience was volunteer work at a middle school. At the preschool was my first hand-on experience with special needs children (other than my family because my brother has ASD and my cousin has down syndrome) and they honestly have a special place in my heart because they are the sweetest children ever! I do speak spanish as well as sign language fluently if any of that is needed. I know children and teens with special needs need someone who can provide them with the care they need without making them feel like they can't be independent children, which they can, which is why i'm here to help!
