About Maria

I assist children with Math, English and History tasks from school. I aim to make them understand the basic concept of each lesson assigned in school. Having worked with this age population for at least 23 years at the William Shart School District. I have all the patience needed for the job. The last 7 years before my retirement was with the Asperger population and this experience was very fulfilling. After my retirement from the school district in 2012, we chose to live in Las Vegas. While there, I tutored a family of three children, all in the elementary level. I assisted these students with their homework aligned with the Common Core system, and for the youngest second grade student, I helped him master his reading and math skills. I moved back to Lancaster, California and did the same tutoring job with three other student of elementary and middle school levels. I had very satisfactory results at the end of the school year. So, being in Oceanside, I am able to help students .
