About Maria

I grew up in a family of five with lots of nieces and nephews. I right away followed the steps of my older sister and started babysitting at the age of 11. I love kids. When I became a freshman in high school I started teaching third and fourth graders at my local church for evening classes. That's why I decided to pursue education in college because I knew my calling was to be a teacher and help children explore the world and learn new things. I have babysat up to nine kids at a time. I have experience with newborns and children with disabilities. I nannied all through high school and helped expecting moms with cleaning, grocery shopping and everything they need assistance in. My main goal as a babysitter is to help the kids open their imagination and help them connect to the world around them. I am currently a licensed K-6 elementary teacher who has experience with special needs students
