I'm from Nicaragua, but I came to the United States 14 months ago with a humanitarian visa. I am living in Austin, Tx with my husband and my 2 children: 12 and 9 years old. My native language is Spanish, but I'm studying English in ACC. In the past, I have cared for elderly people and my children, who are still in care. I really like working with children because I feel important knowing that I am helping them in their emotional development and learning and because one also continues to learn from them. Children remind us that there is still human quality. I like to cook. my family told me I am a good cooker. I like to work crafts, too.

María is a very caring person. She helped us to care for my mother in a wheelchair. Well trained and attentive to my mother’s needs. She also took care of our grandkids age 5-8.
