About Maria

Hi, my name is Maria! I am an organized, responsible, and fun-loving person with ample experience working with kids of all ages. I think it is incredibly important to always provide kids with a positive, supportive environment where they can learn and have fun! I recently received my Master's in Elementary Education at the University of Pennsylvania, and will be starting as an elementary teacher in the fall. I am experienced with behavior management and child development. I have been a babysitter for about 10 years. I also previously worked as a camp counselor and lifeguard at a sleep-away camp for children with special medical needs (ages 7-17), and was trained in regards to various medical conditions and physical and mental disabilities. I look forward to working with families in Hampton Roads!
