I have a special needs child that is all grown up now, is mostly independent and doing extremely well. My daughter is now 23 years old. I also have two other daughters, 13 and 15 years-old who are each in school and are Honor Roll students. My experience has been first hand with special needs children. I have a niece that is down syndrome and is now 28 years old. I have worked as a substitute teacher and have been assigned the special education classroom on many occasions. I don't find special ed., children any harder to deal with than non-special ed. children. I feel that I have been blessed with a special patience and love for children and especially with special needs children. I am a trained fine artist, which means I am very sensitive and I know that this sensitivity has influenced my work with all children. I am foremost a mother and caregiver, and then I am a sculptor, painter, jewelry maker, gardener, and amazing cook, and baker. I am currently working as a nanny with a 1-year-old child that needs to be spoken to in Spanish. I am wonderful, please don't hesitate to contact me with any and all questions.
