I am an early childhood educator of about 10 plus years. I have two children of my own, 17 and 9. I have worked with children of all ages but prefer infant through 3/4 years. My expertise is with this age group. So I will be working with the remaining family throughout August but looking for something around the end of August and beginning of September if possible. At this time I am seeking a family who is looking for long term care and prefer to start with infant. Most likely I will look for more work when the child is of school age. An ideal schedule for me would be 4 days a week, 36 hours minimum. Or up to 5 days with 40-45 hours, all depending on location and pay rate. Current hours I work are 8:30-4:30

Maria is a wonderful nanny, I don't know what we would have done without her! She works 45 hours a week with us (8am-5pm Monday-Friday). She looks after our 2.5 year old daughter full days on Mondays and Fridays and afternoons on the other week days (P. is at a Montessori school half days on Tue, wed and Thursdays and Maria brings her there in the mornings and picks her up in the afternoons). On those days Maria also helps out with our 6 week old twins and cooks our dinner, our laundry, some ironing and help around the house which is so helpful (and rare to find a nanny who is fine to do both nannying and household stuff)! She is wonderful both with P. and our twin boys. She has got that perfect blend of experience in early education and infant care and being a mother herself she knows what's normal and how to handle Penny's toddler tantrums in such a patient and nice way and to help with potty training etc. We will miss Maria when we move to Wellesley in December!
