I was responsible for daily light cleaning of child's space, making lunches and helping create or maintain schedules for playing, learning, sleeping, eating etc. Every day I would make sure that by the end of my working day the house was reset back to normal. Discretion was important to this family in their personal lives. They moved to Palm Springs, and I stayed in LA to continue working, taking courses like CPR and taking workshops to learn child development and communication skills. Maria worked for us for 2 years and was a fantastic caregiver to our son, consistently going the extra-mile for our family. In the infant stages, she helped troubleshoot sleeping/feeding issues. The routine/schedule we developed created a well-regulated environment for our son. As he grew, Maria adapted to the tone and caregiving approach that we wanted. She also spoke to him in both English and Spanish, so he's fully bilingual. Our son is an active kid and she spent countless days with him at playgrounds/parks and Maria kept up with him every step of the way and always kept him safe. She also helped him make friends by cultivating a strong community at the playground and in our neighborhood. Maria's enthusiasm for our sons development and enjoyment of his toddlerhood always gave us confidence that he was in great hands. Her communication regarding scheduling and role expectations was clear and consistent. Maria is a fantastic caregiver and was an invaluable asset to our household.
