This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 10 yrs
Previously CNA and HHA certified through P. G. adult school in 2005. I did my training at Monterey Pines care facility. I have been caregiving for 25 years. I was born and raised in Carmel Valley and have lived in the area most of my life. I have worked with a wide range of people some who just needed companionship and simple tasks like errands, transportation, meal prep, and light housework. I have also worked with dementia and Alzheimer's patients. Others include and are not limited to cancer patients, at home hospice care, an amputee, blind, and bed-bound. I am able to do all care coordination, medication management, and wound care. I am also able to help with either activities of daily living or instrumental activities of daily living for those who need a little extra assistance. Margit

April 02, 2025 **To Whom It May Concern,** I am writing to provide a reference for Margit who was employed by me as a caregiver for over four years, from 2020 to 3/25 During this time, she performed the basic duties required of the role, which included assisting a handicapped senior with daily needs. However, there are several aspects of her performance that I feel compelled to share for the benefit of potential employers. Throughout her employment, Margit was consistently late to work each day, which impacted the reliability of care provided. While she carried out the essential tasks of the job, her punctuality remained an ongoing issue. More significantly, her tenure ended abruptly approximately one and a half weeks ago when she verbally confronted me and resigned without notice. Following her departure, she left me, a handicapped senior—alone, fully aware that no immediate replacement was available. She did not ensure that meals were prepared, necessary paperwork was completed, or upcoming medical appointments or medications to name a few leaving critical responsibilities unaddressed. While Margit fulfilled the minimum requirements of the parttime position for much of her time with me, her sudden exit and lack of accountability in a moment of need overshadow her prior service. Despite offering a supportive work environment and various job-related benefits, she did not express appreciation and ultimately chose to leave in a manner that compromised the well-being of a vulnerable individual. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Margit for a caregiving position. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me through care.com.
