I'd describe my personality as cheerful, dependable, and hardworking. I enjoy providing domestic support because nurturing others comes naturally to me-it's part of how I express care and kindness. I'm looking for a position that's a good mutual fit and allows me to bring value through consistency and compassion. I transitioned into domestic support work in 2016 after a fulfilling career as a teacher. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing and attending local festivals with friends. One thing you should know about me is that I'm patient, thoughtful, and take pride in creating a comfortable, clean, and supportive environment. My skills include household organization, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, personal grooming assistance, end-of-life support, and familiarity with basic medical equipment when needed. I also offer plant sitting, house sitting, and pet sitting services, ensuring peace of mind for clients when they're away from home.

Margaret worked for us for about a year. We were very pleased with her. She did quite a variety of tasks when asked, and she paid attention to detail. I didn’t worry when I left the house when my grandmother was in her care. She was happy to help her with dressing, bathing, etc., and she also was willing to cook and make sure light cleaning and laundry were done. She usually left things at least as clean as she found them and often better. She engaged my grandmother and me in conversation, and she is also eager to make sure her elderly clients are able to be out and about if they are well enough to do so. This is one of the things I particularly liked about her. She actually took my grandmother for a drive to see daffodils during her last day on the job, and she made sure my grandmother got out every weekend this past summer. She is an excellent driver and worked both day and night for us particularly on weekends and responded quickly to my grandmother‘s needs throughout the night. she often asked about my grandmother‘s preferences, and she has been willing to do some extra things when out of town family members have visited. She is a very good cook, and she has tried to find things to do to keep my grandmother from being bored during her time with us. She not only did her 38 or 48 hour weekend shifts but stayed an extra day on a couple of occasions when needed. There are not many, who like to work such long shifts. There were many things we liked about her, but I receive much more respect from other caregivers who worked here. We could not have managed without her when we first brought my grandmother home, and while I am glad we hired her, I have found overtime that there are other caregivers who have proven to be a better fit in our particular situation. If you are looking for someone who likes to work weekends and long hours, and who will take your loved one places and who will cook different meals for your family member, she may very well be the caregiver for whom you are searching.
