About Margaret

I have worked with seniors for 2 years, from daily care to medication management. The bulk of my experience is with special needs; my oldest brother has down syndrome, autism, and experienced seizures as a baby that left him nonverbal and severely mentally delayed. After helping my parents with my brother, I moved on to working with families with special needs in their homes. My experience is most extensive with autism, limited and nonverbal communication, cerebral palsy and mobility challenges, epilepsy including knowledge and use of emergency seizure protocol at home and in public, and NG and G-Tube feeding and medication administration. I am very comfortable with helping with daily needs including mealtime, toileting, showering, and personal hygiene. I have overseen physical therapy, adaptive physical exercise, occupational and speech therapy in conjunction with both hospital and school professionals. I also have CPR and first aid training.
