About Margaret

I am deeply committed to enriching the lives of all the people in my care. My most challenging case was caring for a woman with Alzheimer's: I monitored and filled prescription medications, organized her calendar, drove her to medical appointments as well as social functions such as art shows, movies, shopping, and book club. We also went for long walks and played tennis! I did light laundry and prepared light meals. I helped to stimulate her mental functions by playing different games like scrabble & cards. I chaperoned her on a summer trip to her childhood vacation home on Fire Island, NY for an entire summer where she was reunited with old time friends. I love animals and volunteered at the local shelter. At my client's request my pet toy poodle accompanied me on visits, which proved to be quite therapeutic! One thing which distinguishes me from other caregivers is that I provide, if applicable, written periodic detailed client/patient progress reports.
