About Margaret

I am 19 years old, at this time I am choosing to suspend college attendance while I further decide what career path I am most suited to. I have worked 2 summers as a camp counselor at Camp Albrecht Acres in Iowa. Camp Albrecht is a camp for adults with physical and developmental disabilities. If this job were available year round I would do it! I provided personal care, including bathing, bathroom assistance, lifts and transfers, dressing, and feeding. I provided one on one as well as group activities. I was skilled at behavior and emotional interventions. I developed close, personal relationships with the campers and still keep in contact with some. I know providing personal care for people is something I love and want to continue. In my spare time lately I've been crocheting! My friends and family have given me a few projects to work on so it keeps me busy. I am honest and trustworthy. I prefer quiet activities, and 1:1 interactions as opposed to big group events.
