I am a caring mother of three. After completing my bachelor's degree at UVA in English literature in 2006, I began teaching at the Montessori School of Charlottesville. I am a certified through the North American Montessori Center as a Montessori teacher at the primary level. I was an assistant for two years in a classroom of 22 children aged 2. 5 to 6 years. I was a lead teacher in a class of 31 students of the same age range. I greatly enjoy helping children reach their maximum potential through independence. I also love fostering early literacy through whole language and systematic phonetic practices.
