About Marcella

Hi there! My name is Marcella and I am passionate about getting kids excited about science. I am going to start a Biochemistry PhD program at UCLA in the fall and have spent the past 2. 5 years working in a research lab at UC Berkeley under one of the world's leading biochemists. I went to UC Santa Cruz for my bachelor's in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology where I taught college-aged students science, and have spent the past two years at Berkeley designing and teaching summer lab courses. I love teaching all ages about science, specifically biology, and want to create a fun and engaging curriculum to teach your child the sciences! I can assist with ongoing homework and lesson plans, or if you want them to just get a head start for high school level science courses. I am also able to tutor math and reading in addition.
