About Mara

Hi! I have over five years of experience working with children both in an educational and a household setting. I began by working as a babysitter and then became a teaching assistant, and then worked for over five years as a dance teacher across disciplines and age ranges. I am originally from the Midwest and grew up around animals. I grew up being a member and leader in 4H which help builds community and youth develop for kids of all ages. The thing I enjoy the most about working with kids is seeing how positive action has a positive impact on kids of all ages. I'd love to help kids grow their passions through things like art and exploration in the outdoors. I am a recent graduate of Missouri State University, where I got my degree in acting with a minor in dance and a certificate in film studies. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes, reading books, baking, and spending quality time with the people I love.
