About Mara

I'm passionate about childcare and I've always wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of children. I believe that providing a safe, nurturing environment is essential for their growth and development. I have about one year of experience as a childcare provider at a daycare and I'm comfortable caring for up to two children between the ages of 0 and 11, or up to three children between the ages of 1 and 3. I have completed coursework in early child development, I have my DCF 40 hours, as well as First Aid and CPR training. I also practice American Sign Language (ASL). I'm patient, calm, and creative, and I love playing outdoor sports and games with children. I also enjoy board games, puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. When it comes to household rules, I believe in following the parents' lead. I communicate with parents about their child's day and any issues that arise, either verbally at pickup or through regular updates via text or phone call.
