About Manuel

Hello! I'm Manny, and I am currently a student at Columbia University studying psychology. I'm originally from SoCal, and I've been taking care of children my whole life. I grew up with three siblings, and my job was to care of my little brother. I'd pick him up from school, make sure he was fed, and helped with his homework on a consistent basis. For the last 4 summers, I have returned home where I've worked as counselor for the Summer Day Camp at my local park. Here I worked primarily with ages 8-13, but occasionally would work with children 5-7. I've also done date night babysitting for many families. My philosophy is simple: I want to make sure that your children's needs are being met and they're able to enjoy their childhood to the max. This means coming up with games and activities to ensure your child is never bored. I take pride in serving as a role model for the children I work with and helping empower them to eventual become confident teens, and adults.
