I took care of an elderly patient in her home as a caregiver. I prepared meals, made sure she took medication, took care of household chores(including cleaning and laundry) and offered her companionship. She eventually moved into an assisted living facility where she spent the remainder of her life until she passed. The time I spent with her are some of my most cherished memories. It taught me a lot about what we can learn from the elderly and that they all have something to offer the community.
