About Mandy

I'd describe my personality as patient, energetic, and fun. I like tutoring because it allows for a chance to make big change in a short time. Not only does the child get uninterrupted teaching, but I get to know their personality, struggles and strengths on a deeper level. I'm looking for a job that allows me to continue doing what I love in the summer on a part time basis as I am still a mom of two boys. I started tutoring when I saw a need in students in my class who could benefit from one on one time that isn't available during the regular school day. In my spare time, I like to read either mysteries or historical fiction. I love to get my hands in the dirt and garden. I am a Leo and love to be in the sun and by water. One thing you should know about me is I believe that every child is smart. Every child deserves to know they are capable and deserve praise and to feel confident. My skills include phonics, reading fluency and comprehension, and math.
