About Mandi

Hi! I'm Mandi, and I'm a retired high school English teacher with 10+ years teaching experience. I hold a current Nevada teaching license. I can support students with writing, reading, assignment and homework help, and ACT test prep. I believe all kids have the capacity to learn when given the right support. For me, the best part of teaching is helping students achieve what they didn't think was possible. I'm happy to provide references if you would like. I'd describe my personality as easy going, energetic, and kind. I'm looking for a job that gives me an opportunity to support kids academically. I started teaching over 10 years ago. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, hike, workout, and paint. One thing you should know about me is I'm a kind person, and I care deeply about the kids I work with. I connect with kids because they know I genuinely care. My skills include my ability to explain difficult concepts as well as my positivity and patience.
