Hi there, I have not been doing this very long, but the two years I have done this work has been the most rewarding experience. I worked for an elderly gentleman for two years. Every day I was his companion, I prepped all of his meals after planning the week's meals, before grocery shopping. I took him to all of his Dr appointments, and to any other places he needed to go. The bank, the post office, etc. I did light housekeeping and when he napped I cleaned and did all of the laundry. I also took him to church daily and on Sunday mornings. We both looked forward to getting the Boardman paper on Friday, so we could read the police blotter and shake our heads! He truly became my dear friend. I do this because if he was my dad, and I needed to find him someone to help him, I'd want someone to treat him the way I treated. It's really that simple.
