About Malikai

I have 1. 5 years of experience as a registered behavior technician working with children on the autism spectrum, 6 months in trauma-informed care with teens, and 2 years working as a DSP in group homes with adults in the DODD field where I was promoted to residential manager. I have experience working with individuals with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injuries. I have received crisis intervention training, med training, and am currently CPR and First Aid certified. I have worked with children ages 2 - 17 and adults ages 21-85. I am comfortable with aggressive behaviors and trained in de-escalation and redirection techniques. I love working with individuals with special needs and not only taking care of them, but helping them build on their strengths and teaching independence for the best quality of life.
