About Makiya

I've always been passionate about fostering children's growth and development, which led me to become a childcare provider. My three years of experience have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to care for children of all ages, from infants to preteens. I'm patient, calm, friendly, and approachable, and I always put the children's best interests first. I believe in open communication with parents and I follow their preferred method of communication to provide regular updates about their child's day or any issues that arise. I'm also comfortable enforcing household rules as directed by the parents. To ensure I'm providing the best care possible, I've completed Early Child Development coursework, First Aid Training, and CPR Training. I'm also certified in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and as a Child Development Associate (CDA). I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports, board games, and educational games that promote learning.
