About Makiya

Hi, I'm Makiya, a 20-year-old college student at Georgia Southern University pursuing a degree in biology to become a pediatric surgeon. With a passion for nurturing young minds, I've always enjoyed caring for children, having watched my cousins and family friends for several years. Growing up in a single-parent household, I know how important it is for parents to have time for themselves. I'm here to offer support and lend a hand with whatever you need, so you can have a moment to relax and recharge. As a caregiver, I'm known for my patience, creativity, and outgoing personality. I believe in open communication with parents, keeping them regularly updated on their child's day. I'm a great cook and enjoy engaging children in a variety of activities, from outdoor play and board games to educational games that foster learning. My experience includes early childhood development coursework, and I'm certified in CPR.
