Hello, my name is Makiah! I am a fun, loving, energetic and enthusiastic person! I currently work at KinderCare which is an early learning center. While I have worked with all ages of children starting from infancy up until 14 years of age, I currently have the joy of working with infants. As well as I am CPR certified and fully vaccinated. I take the Covid protocols very seriously in attempt to ensure that not only myself but also the little kiddos that I work with stay healthy! I enjoy planning and doing activities with the children I've been blessed to work with. I am a very honest, respectable and kind person. In addition to my current job at KinderCare I've also been able to work with a family from Care for 2 years, helping care for both of their children from infancy. (2022-Current) Pets* *I do not mind pets, I do mind insect eating pets as I am extremely terrified of bugs. Transportation* *I refuse to transport children for unpredictable reasons.

We began working with Kiah full time in June 2022 and employed her through the end of 2024 (2.5 years). She began employment with one 2-month-old and during her tenure with us we had a second baby. Kiah was paramount during the first couple of years of their lives. My spouse and I have rigorous work schedules and Kiah was always willing to work with us to fill in gaps we had in our home schedule. Work Ethic Kiah is very dependable with her work schedule. She maintains great calendar management which was very important for us. We were always given ample time to make plans for Kiah's personal time off and any doctor's appointments she may have had. We were never caught off-guard. She never failed to show for work and was always on time when she was scheduled. She worked hard to keep the daily schedule we wanted for the kids. There were times when we needed Kiah to work overtime or atypical hours, and she always accommodated. Relationship The kids LOVE Kiah! I know they will miss seeing her on a daily basis. When the weather was nice she would take the boys on a morning walk for some out-of-the-house exercise. We have a playground and fenced in yard that she made great use of. Occasionally she would take the kids to a local park so they could play. She always made sure they got some time outside (weather permitting). Kiah was a very easy person to work with and became part of the family while she was here. We hope to connect with Kiah in the future so they can see her again. Developmental Kiah worked with the kids daily on appropriate developmental skills. Shapes, colors, lexicon, counting, dexterity, sharing, routine building, etc... were all things Kiah helped develop. While infants get skills from all aspects of their lives, Kiah did not disappoint in doing her part to make sure the kids weren't wasting their day idly. She consistently interacted with the kids and never let them sit in front of the TV. Kiah comes from a childcare background and was able to apply what she's learned from her past experiences to our family. Altogether we were very pleased with Kiah's efforts, and we feel we made a good decision in hiring her to care for our kids.
