About Makenna

I'm a friendly and approachable childcare provider with six years of experience caring for children of all ages. Previously worked as a crisis responder for youth 0-21 and am comfortable with highly behavioral youth as well as children with autism. I have a passion for supporting families and providing a reliable childcare options to families in need. When it comes to household rules, I believe in following the parents' lead to ensure consistency for the child. My approach to communication is a combination of brief overviews during pickup and regular text or phone call updates throughout the day as needed to keep parents informed about their child's activities and any issues that arise. I have experience with a wide range of age groups, from infants to pre-teens and even young adults. I enjoy playing outdoor sports and physical games with children, as I believe in fostering an active and healthy lifestyle. I hold a CPR certification, First aide, DBT Therapy and others as needed.
