About Makenna

Before relocating to Southwest Florida, I was a part-time arts educator in Indiana. I taught various drama classes to 1st through 5th graders, and co-directed and choreographed for a middle school show choir and their stage musicals. During this time, I was also a character performer with a birthday party/event entertainment company that provides Theme Park Quality Entertainment in Northeast Indiana. I also have experiencing caring for infants, toddlers, and the elderly - through familial relations. Former students have described me as highly knowledgable, funny, and able to be task-oriented while also providing a soft spot for them to land. This has been especially crucial for my work in the arts, as I've attempted to cultivate room for children to feel they can grow through making "mistakes".
