About Makena

Hi! I'm Kena, a creative and adventurous UCLA grad! I'm looking for part time positions while in LA for the next year, and my rates start at $25/hour. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, have my own car, and am experienced with all ages. Growing up, babysitting my sister and cousin was my unofficial job :) I started teaching Sunday school and nannying after that! My love for kids just grew from there when I became an auntie to my sweet nephew! I want to give your children a safe, fun, and creative space to explore and grow into kind people. I love arts and crafts, baking, going on walks, and special outings when appropriate. In my free time I love to watercolor, play piano, read non-fiction, travel, scuba dive, hike, and play card games with my roommates. I think time in nature is so important for childhood development and encourage outdoor play for your kiddos. Please reach out if I sound like a good fit for your family!
