About Makena

I am a creative and intelligent 20 something looking to plug myself back into community. Over the last two years I have worked remotely in the tech space and I am currently in between jobs. My goal is to be a full time songwriter. I am the oldest of four kids, one of whom has special needs, so I have the patience to work with kids of all kinds. In college I nannied for three boys over the span of nine months, which was my greatest joy of 2021. Growing up I worked in my church's child care as well as with multiple different families, caring for children of all ages. I absolutely love the outdoors and the arts, whether that be drawing, or writing a song. I am proficient in guitar and piano and would love to engage your child in these activities. I also love to assist with homework help!
