About Makayla

I have been working at a facility for over a year. I have helped residents with daily hygene tasks such as brushing teeth and hair. Showers and dressing for the day/night that can range from just helping with socks and shoes to complete bed changes and incontentent care. I have experience with residents with diabetes, stroke history, and dementia. I have assisted with a perminent catheter site care and maintainence. And also activities that the residents enjoy that promote physical and mental exercise for short amounts of time. Transfering residents and assisting those with minimal mobility has been a huge part of the job. I enjoy building a relationship with the residents and thier families. I am a student at Western Oregon working toward a degree in humanities and Sociology. I love to read and write. I spend friday mornings in an art group for a few hours working with charcoal and pastels.
