About Makayla

Hello, it's so nice to meet you! I have loved working with children all my life, and knew from a very young age that childcare was a field I just had to pursue. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education and Care and became teacher certified in 2024. In the past, I have babysat/nannied for a wide range of ages, 18 months-9 years, so I am as comfortable changing an infant's diaper as I am helping with homework! My current minimum rate is $20. 00 for one child. My main focus when caring for your child will always be their safety. I believe in setting predictable, consistent routines for their day as well as fostering a creative space where they can continue to learn and grow. I am kind and love having fun, but I am also able to balance that with firmness. In my personal time, I care for my two dogs and two cats! I also love creating art and am working towards becoming fluent in American Sign Language. I look forward to meeting you!
