About Makayla

Makayla has been part of our family for the past 3.5 years, and she has played a huge role in helping raise our children into the confident, curious, and kind kids they are today. She joined us when our youngest was just two years old, and she’s been a steady presence through every stage since—navigating toddler chaos, school transitions, sibling dynamics, and everything in between. To our kids, she’s “Auntie Makayla.” To us, she’s family. One of the things I’ve come to truly value is how important it is for children to have adults in their lives (outside of their parents) who they can trust, talk to, and look up to. Makayla has been that and so much more. She’s responsible, always on time, and incredibly thoughtful. She brings a calm, grounded energy into our home. She’s adaptable but has clear values and strong boundaries. She communicates openly, gives and receives feedback with maturity, and always has the kids’ best interests at heart. She’s someone you can rely on completely. Makayla also brings a sense of fun and creativity to every day—from park adventures to art projects to baking and dance parties. But what sets her apart is how she balances that joy with structure and care. Over the years, she’s taken care of everything from organizing toys and clothing donations to managing laundry, helping with routines, and making sure favorite snacks are always on hand. Now that our kids are getting older and more independent (thanks in part to how beautifully Makayla has helped raise them), it’s time for another lucky family to benefit from her presence. We can’t recommend her highly enough—and we know she’ll remain part of our lives forever.
