About Makalah

Hello, my name is Makalah. I am currently a college student. My major is respiratory care. I have approximately four years in childcare. My job background includes volunteering at my church. I help the Lay Council give back to the community, for example, by fundraising for our college giveaway and helping with the back-to-school clothing drive and the food drive. I worked at multiple day camps, and I'm currently working at the YMCA after-school program. I've taken care of kids of all age groups, including 4-12+. I have an art background; I love arts and crafts like painting, drawing, and bracelet making. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and puzzles with children. As a childcare provider, I make my job friendly and approachable. One of my skills is conflict resolution; I can confidently and effectively communicate with parents about their child's day or any issue. I follow their preferred communication method and am comfortable enforcing household rules.
