About Makala

Hi! My name is Makala, and I'm passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children. I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Political Science and have babysat for several families during college. I love engaging kids with activities like reading, outdoor games, and storytelling to encourage creativity and growth. I have experience with children of various ages and personalities, balancing playtime with responsibilities like homework help, meal prep, and bedtime routines. For example, I cared for two toddlers with dietary restrictions and one with ASD while also feeding, grooming, and playing with their white lab. For another family, I supported a toddler and infant with feedings, diaper changes, and developmentally appropriate play. I'm working on CPR/First Aid certification and am known for being reliable, patient, and organized. My goal is to provide complete peace of mind while you're away. I'd love to support your family!
