Hello! I have babysat a few years at my local neighborhood in Austin, TX, however, I just moved here to St. Augustine and would love to jump right back into it! I love to read, cook, swim (which Florida is perfect for!), and play volleyball! I love animals as well, so furry family members won't be an issue! I like working with kids because everyday is a new adventure! They sure do keep you on your toes, but in the best way! I worked at a daycare where I previously lived and my class was the absolute highlight to my day! Having the opportunity to teach young one's is so special! I started working with kids when I was 14 for a few years for multiple families around the neighborhood. My skills include I am CPR/first aid certified so if anything were to ever happen I can de-escalate the situation! Another good child care skill is have is my patience, I am very calm and collected so I can easily handle tantrums very gracefully.

I hired Makaila as a housekeeper/nanny. Initially, she seemed reliable, but on the second day, she messaged saying she was sick and needed to stay home. Two days later, she was supposed to come in to work again, but I didn't hear back when I checked in with her. I didn't hear from her for two weeks. She then contacted me, requesting payment for her last day of work. While she did provide initial proof of an ER visit, the lack of communication and the delay were concerning. Additionally, I had a party the next day and, had I not found help from someone else, I would have been in a serious bind. While health emergencies are understandable, the significant delay in communication and the pattern of not showing up are important to consider if you're thinking of hiring her.
