About Makaela

With over 9 years of experience in childcare, I've had the privilege of nurturing young minds in diverse settings. I have nannied for four different families whose children have ranged from infants to teenagers. During this time I also worked in the classroom of a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool and a wilderness immersion program. At the preschool, I fostered creativity and curiosity in children aged 1 to 5, while at the wilderness program, I imparted essential academic knowledge alongside wilderness survival skills and ecological awareness. Currently, I serve as a personal assistant and household manager for a family I've been with for six years, seamlessly blending childcare expertise with organizational prowess to support their evolving needs. Passionate about guiding children through every stage of development, I am dedicated to providing a holistic approach to childcare that prioritizes both their emotional well-being and academic growth.
