About Makaela

As a caregiver and tutor, my passion lies in nurturing children's growth and positively shaping their lives. With two years of experience, I'm comfortable caring for up to three children, ranging from infants to preteens. My patient and friendly nature creates a warm environment for the kids in my care. I also have a college degree from UCSD in public health and general biology. I believe in open communication with parents and regularly provide updates on their child's day. I'm also very comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure a safe and structured environment. My approach to childcare involves a variety of fun and educational activities. We enjoy outdoor sports, board games, puzzles, and educational games. I hold current First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard, and EMT certifications. Along with my childcare experience, I am comfortable helping with cooking, meal preparation, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I am a non-smoker and comfortable with pets.
