About Maiya

In addition to 7 years of experience working with kids as a nanny/babysitter, dance, music, and art instructor, I have caregiving experience with my grandparents. I supported both my maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather during their cancer treatments and provided physical support and companionship. am enthusiastic and passionate and am committed to being as helpful and caring as I can be. I have strong organizational skills and can help with housekeeping and meal preparation. I have worked extensively as a children's programming provider, most notably as camp director at Girls Rock! Chicago, a music and social justice based program for kids ages 8-16. I am extremely comfortable working with those with various needs, and have provided 1:1 care for those on the spectrum and with other personalized needs. I am confident that I can provide safe, exciting, and supportive care for you!
