About Maggie

Hi! My name is Maggie, and I am a dedicated caregiver working evenings and weekends for a single mother and her 19-year-old daughter with cerebral palsy. This role has ignited a profound passion for helping others. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), driven by my commitment to making a positive impact. I also have a passion for animals, especially dogs, and am certified as a veterinary technician assistant. Years ago, I survived a head-on collision caused by a drunk driver, which significantly shaped my life. During my recovery, I volunteered as the VP and Foster/Adoption Coordinator at Paws Fur Recovery, a dog rescue founded by recovering addicts. I often joined the Director for pet therapy sessions at local rehabs, sharing my story and advocating for trauma victims. At 26, I bring energy, empathy, and a wealth of experience to my caregiving role. In my free time, I enjoy the water with my husband and dogs at the sandbar.
