I have a dual degree in special education/elementary education. I became interested in working with people with special needs when my stepbrother suffered a traumatic brain injury as a teenager. Since then, I have worked as an ABA interventionist and a mild-mod special education teacher. I am still currently working with kids with special needs. I have worked with kids with ADHD, ASD, EBD, physical impairments, learning difficulties, and more. I have experience teaching academics, behavior, adaptive skills, and social skills. I also have experience toileting and transferring a student to/from a wheelchair. I love to support children and adults with special needs and haven't lost sight of that passion since my stepbrother's accident (when I was in middle school).
