About Madison

My name is Madison. I am gentle caregiving specialist with a flexible schedule and am currently available for a on-call/last-minute or temporary position as a nanny or babysitter. I have over 10 years of experience caring for children ages 6 weeks to 14 years as a nanny, assistant preschool teacher, babysitter, and camp counselor. I have spent the past six years following the RIE, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Gentle Caregiving methodologies in my previous roles as a full-time nanny and as an assistant preschool teacher. I prioritise respectful communication and independence in my approach to childcare. My methods focus on fostering internal motivation, setting realistic expectations, applying logical consequences, and creating a positive atmosphere. I maintain a consistent schedule that includes a variety of evolving child-led activities and daily outdoor play in all weather. I encourage a screen-free environment while the children are in my care.
