I started my adventure in healthcare back in 2020 right before covid hit. I was living in Nebraska taking my CNA and we got closed down, as far as that goes I do not have my CNA or other qualifications. I have worked in Assisted Livings, which do not require you to have a CNA so I never went back to school to get mine and I have worked at other facilities since I was 16 :). I am able to work a C pap machine, if needed (not qualified just know how to use them). I can do housekeeping, ensure the resident has eaten meals, toileting, ted hose and peri cares. Make sure resident is up in the morning and ready for bed at night! I do not have a wheelchair accessible van or vehicle to take anything like that. I have a small 4 door car but, willing to get groceries and make other stops as needed :)! I do work at an Assisted Living Monday- Friday 2 p.m. -10 p.m. but am trying to do something like this full time for myself !
