I'd describe my personality as friendly, creative, and curious. I like working with kids because I enjoy helping children. My goal is to work in DSS to help children/families even further. I need a job that begins at 5 p.m. so that my husband can watch my daughter when he gets home. I started working with kids when I was in college. I worked as a line therapist for autistic children. I've been working as a preschool teacher for a few years now, but I had to leave to care for my daughter. In my spare time, I like to play with my daughter, write piano music, look at science articles and videos, and read. One thing you should know about me is I have 4 dogs and a pet snake. I also used to own and breed pet rats. I love learning about and helping animals as well! My skills include compassion, conflict resolution, and child redirection.

Madison has an amazing aptitude for childcare. I was amazed at her ability to connect with children on their level as to make them feel better understood, more confident as they navigate and explore new situations or information, less frustration as she ecourages kids to talk through feelings with her to build heathy emotional regulation skills as kids face negative experiences such as failure, and more positive behavior plus healthier consistent habits as a direct result of her approaching at and building from their level with an "every child develops at their own speed" mentality vs talking down to or above them. You should probably also know: she does have tourettes syndrome (the twitch kind), so if you think that would bother you, keep that in mind. I will say, it actually helped our kid better grasp that everyone can be different. Madison also has a little girl, so while her schedule looks wonky, you can do what I did and allow her to bring her baby, making her way more available!
