About Madison

I am passionate about caregiving because it provides a great opportunity to cultivate relationships with younger/older generations and, from past experience, has taught me so much! At the age of 18, I led a program at a retirement home in Sarasota, FL where I connected high school students with senior residents (biweekly) to "bridge the gap" in age. As the head of this program, known as Bridging the Gap, I worked with an event coordinator at the facility to plan events such as talent shows, crafts, and even cooking lessons to engage teens with local seniors. I loved running this program because it allowed me to learn so much about another generation and helped me realize I was passionate about caregiving! This program gave me about a year and a half of experience with seniors, but was unpaid as I was a volunteer!
