About Madison

Since I was 12 I have babysat for not only family and friends, but women I have never met in my community. As young as 13 I was given a very good reputation by the mother of my younger sister's friend who I often babysat. She hosted a regular bunco night and would brag about me to the women in the community so much so that if a woman didn't call me on Monday, I would already be booked for the weekend. I have babysat over night as well as traveled with families to watch children. I also tutor. My senior year in high school I taught (not tutored, taught) an entire geometry course to a Sophomore who was in the school's home hospital program due to her Fibromyalgia. I can tutor in most every subject, grade 8 and under. I feel comfortable tutoring most high school subjects as well, excluding sciences. I can provide excellent AP tutoring in United States History and American government, having received 5's on both tests (the highest possible score.) I am very passionate about history and international studies as I intend to graduate from B.Y.U. with a bachelor's degree in International Relations. I have taken French lesson's for 5 years and am continuing to study at B.Y.U. As of this January I will be First Aid and CPR certified, having already a basic knowledge of first aid. I have a food handler's permit in both Utah County, and California's San Bernardino County. I will do housework and cooking, having experience in both areas. I have completed a Nutrition course at B.Y.U this past Semester and will be able to utilize its child care and development sections as well as the rest of general information learned in the course with what I already know from experience. I can provide my own transportation, having a car and feel comfortable transporting children. This Winter Semester (January 4 - April 11) I can work everyday after 12 p.m. except from 4p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and I am willing to work overnight weekends and sometimes during weekdays. I am available full time during the Spring and Summer to work as a live-in Nanny as well. I am willing to change my Winter Schedule in order to accommodate a family depending on the terms and conditions of employment. I am also interested in work for Fall 2012.
